weight loss and candida diet

the problem for skinny peeps like me is we are on this diet, but weight becomes a definite factor. This can't be solved by eating avocados or downing olive oil and higher fat foods becuase you will lose weight becuase of the lack of sugar. Our bodies are used to burning sugar and when we stop eating sugar all together then our bodies burn fat. So the problem with this is that no matter how much fat we eat on the candida diet, we will still lose weight becuase of the lack of sugar, but you obviously can't eat sugar on a candida diet. What can i do to solve this? I don't even really know if i have candida or not, but i do have senistivity to sugar. When i switched to the candida diet, my skin cleared and has been clear for almost 3 weeks, but at the cost of my weight. I have lost 3 to 4 pounds since i started. Is it possible to kill candida without the diet and possibly a cleanse will do the trick?

If you have a problem with canida eat coconut oil or add it to your foods!!

It is a wonder cure for those that deal with canida and is incredible for weight maintainment or gain.

I eat 1 tablespoon per meal and have gained weight with it.

It is also great for those with canida.

There are candida diets that offer a wider range of foods than what you are eating. They allow legumes like lentils and chickpeas, as well as some non-gluten grains like quinoa. Do a google search and I'm sure you'll find them.

i already eat coconut oil. That's not a candida diet. A candida diet means you eat nothing but vegetables and meats and nuts if they are prepared correctly. No sugar consumption, especially in fruits is allowed. I am eating coconut oil, organic extra virgin olive oil and hemp seed for gaining weight, but it does nothing becuase of the problem i mentioned in the first post. I might just have to add in some sugar cause i am losing too much weight.

No need to laugh at someone in the need of help man. I am basically on the same diet but not because i think i have candida, but because to try to balance my BS levels. I can not gain anything either and am getting way to skinny. I lose about a 1lb or so a day. I think my weight loss is due to my hyperthyroidism in which i am still doing tests before they give me meds. So hopefully after i get meds to balance that out i will be able to gain.

Well bennyb at least you are staying clear off of it, unlike me i am still batteling same acne with mine. Been on it 3+ months.

Go to the gym and gain some weight.

Why wouldn't you want to get a six pack if it comes at no cost? If you think you are too skinny then just go to the gym and lift some weights.

The first pounds are water weight, carbs retain water.

to tell the truth i think i am over it. My parents think that i am killing myself and that i am depressed or something all the time. Ima just maintain a healthy diet. Ima add in some fruit, if i breakout then i will deal with it. I don't even really know if i have candida in the first place. Thanks for the reccomendations though.

At first I lost about 10 lbs on the strict anti-candida diet but I was just eating low-starch vegetables, olive and flaxseed oil, and protein. My hair was very dry so I added in more fats even though they make my skin slightly worse. For this diet you could try avocado, raw nuts or seeds. They minimally gave me acne while Coconut oil gave me terrible acne. I can handle raw almond butter and almond meal to make pancakes with. A 16 oz bag of frozen green beans a day also fills me up.

My intestines have repaired themselves after a year of not eating fruit and taking glutamine. The weight loss did not last when I upped my fat intake to the nuts, low-starch vegetables, and protein diet. I have gained 20 lbs from my low point. Now I'm a healthy weight. I also occasionally include a gluten-free grain meal in my diet. I can tolerate it a lot better if I take it with glucomannan. I used to have to eat 6 eggs a day to maintain my weight now I eat one.

if you find an answer let me know... I have the same problem. :(

wait wait.... I just remembered... I read somewhere that you can gain weight upping calories and fat intake when u go low carb. try googling bodybuilding and coconut oil.... I know it makes u lose bodyfat but if your a guy you may have to get a gym membership and pump away to build up muscle mass to replace the weight. I think i may be wrong but i want to say I read to build more muscle easily upping your fat intake. ? My best ideas (mainly from watching my brother bulk up) would be trying more fat, more calories overall, swtiching to redmeat... if you feel like your eating too much you could try introducing sugar free energy drinks... i mean health wise not the greatest but sf redbull has a good rap for helping acne around here.. and i notice when i drink them it makes me verrrrry hungry.

well anyway im done yapping goodluck

ps- sure you have candida? you know insulin resistance symptoms are quite similar... exercise, sleep, and stress levels help/hurt insulin resistance related acne too. plus you cleared in three weeks? thats pretty quick id say for something candida related.. idk though i have same prob. candida issue or insulin issues causing my acne? I think if you want to know you can go make an appt. with an endocrinologist (hormone specialist) (covered by your insurance) and have them check you for insulin abnormalities and blood sugar problems and your cholesterol and triglycerides. might as well check your hormones and cortisol too. If your not insulin resistant it might be candida then. Im doing that this week :)

just give it some time.

your body is adjusting to all of your diet modifications.

within a month at the least

your body weight will normalize.

I wouldn't reccomend strenous excersise being that your body needs

the most energy preserved as possible

dedicated to healing as well.

so for now just stick to the diet

with healthy fats and

soon enough your weight will fluctuate back to proportion.

weight loss is initially temporary and you shouldn't let it discourage you.

check out

healing naturally

I have found the support group to be very helpful. :D

You're correct on that buddy. But by the same token, OP shouldn't be so dismissive of other people's ideas when someone is trying to help him. There's no one set definition of a candida diet.

In addition, I don't understand the OP's idea to start eating sugar. That's the one thing that almost all candida diets seem to have in common--no sugar. Why not complex carbohydrates. It doesn't make much sense.

I did this diet in many ways. Also caused me to not eat bread for 2 years!

Coconut oil, Hemp.

No sugar at all from anything.

BMI of around 16-18

Nothing gains the weight.

I doubt you have candida. Just eat less sugar stuff.
