Recell

I've been doing quite a bit of research on scars. I've gained a lot of insight and I would like to share with everyone here on what I discovered. There is a comestic dermatologist named, Dr. Harold A. Lancer, who is a leading expert on scars, especially acne. He is renowned for his keen diagnostic skills and knows precisely what kinds of treatments you need. His innovative techniques as well as being an inventor of revolutionary dermatological procedures are remarkable and legendary. He creates a relaxing atmosphere and provides the best service by treating you like a person. Traditionally, scars were treated by excising it and closing the open site with stitches or reshaping the scar and repositioning it at the wound site. However, Dr. Lancer's philosophy is by treating scars with a series of multiple gentle treatments will yield superior and desired results as opposed to one tramatic one that usually ends up much worse prior to treatment. For anyone who is interested in consulting with Dr. Lancer, you will have to fly to Beverly Hills, California. The consultation visit I believe is $100 and you have to book an appointment way in advance, at least by a month. Many of his patients include celebrities such as Cher and Denise Richards. Anyway, here is his office address and website:

Dr. Harold A. Lancer

Beverly Hills, CA 90212

If you have any questions regarding scar treatments, just call the above phone number and ask for either Tess or Angeli. I spoke with both of them on the phone and they're very nice and helpful. Just a tip: if you call the office and you reside in the east coast, keep in mind that the office is located in the west coast and there is a three hour difference.

Also, there is a new proceedure called Recell. It's been available in Europe for quite some time, particularly in the UK. Its not available in the US yet because it has to be FDA approved. Anyway, this new technique was developed in Austrailia by Dr. Fiona Wood and Marie Stoner. In a nutshell, the old damaged skin is removed and a small sample of the patient's own skin is taken from the patient's own body, which is then replicated to promote new healthy skin cells to the appropriate size, then it is implanted to the wound, where the texture and color are an exact match, resulting in a remarkable outcome.

ReCell can treat burns, improve scars or smooth irregular coloured areas of your body, leaving minimal scarring, simply by having your consultant spray on your own new skin. This is not a vision for the future - this is available right now. No gimmicks, no catches, no wild claims; just a clinically proven unique culture technology from which hundreds of patients world wide have already benefited.

ReCell is an innovative device that enables a surgeon to apply skin cells, collected from a small sample of the patient's own skin, to an area that needs new cells to ensure appropriate healing, skin texture and skin colour.

ReCell produces a suspension that contains all of the cells necessary to promote healthy skin growth. The spray has cells to promote healing (keratinocytes) and cells that reintroduce colour in scars or areas of excess whiteness (melanocytes).

And finally, there is another doctor who also performs precedures on scars, Dr. Ash Dutta, the founder of the Aesthetic Beauty Centre in the UK. I also spoke with Dr. Dutter on the phone and he's also a specialist in hair transplants and he's very good at what he does.

For anyone interested in Recell, check out the Aesthetic Beauty Centre, located in the UK:

As you can see, scars can indeed be greatly reduced and in a great many cases erased. I hope I've been of some help and if anyone has any questions, please feel free to PM me. Keep your head up, there is hope out there! :)

P.S. I included some "before" and "after" photos of the Recell procedure below.
