Photosensitivity and acne products

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board. I suffered from acne last Spring and went on differin, then Retin a Micro. My acne is now cleared up and I quit using retin a micro and differin about 3 weeks ago, yet I still have photosensitivity. Does anyone know for how long skin is photosensitive after quitting retin a micro? I read that the sensitivity can be worse for the first month after quitting. So when does photosensitivity go away? I'm trying to wear sunscreen, but alot of them cause irritation (I must be allergic to certain ingredients in them)

Mainly my skin is a little itchy, warm when in the sun, and also flushes more easily although I try to avoid the sun at all costs. How long after quitting use of retin a does the skin stop seeing the nasty side affects from it? BTW, I recommend avoiding using prescription topicals unless you are able to wear Sunscreen daily.
