? thickness of facial epidermis (/ dermis)

Recommended Posts

...im pretty sure this is the wrong thread^^°

anyway -

i think this is quite interesting to know if considering ablative scar treatments such as lasers, dermabrasion or chemical peels so

does anyone know the answer or where to find reliable information? (BRD maybe?)

so far i have found very conflicting data:

0.02mm = 20μm (eucerin)

75–150 μm (pdf document by a university)

Annasui, this link does not directly answer your question, but it may shed some light on why it is so difficult to give this answer.

Thank You! (:

so i think the 20um is 1 extreme = the area around the eyes - in that extract its says even 0.04mm...

the facial epidermis of an elephant is 1mm - wouldnt that be great? lol
