JOJOBA OIL

hi im just wondering slathering loads of jojoba oil on at night after washing and before bed cause outbreaks??.....i have very dry sensitive skin with acne.

you probably shouldn't slather it all over your face if you're not sure how you'll react to it!

i'd stop doing that and test a small quantity over a certain area of red marks for a while and see what happens.

Jojoba oil is better than other moisturisers because it, itself, cannot act as food for the acne bacteria. If you use too much, however, it can contribute to blocked pores, where the skin's natural oil will become trapped and act as food for the acne bacteria. However, since you have very dry skin, you are not as at risk of this as people with oily skin.

Other advice regarding patch-testing is good. You could be allergic, in which case it is very possible it could cause you, but not others, to break out.

sure, anything's possible. with that said, you shouldnt have to put on a lot anyways. i use as a moisturizer for the past 5-6 months. no problems yet. just make sure if you do use it, not to accidently sleep on the side of your face. i think a had a really, really tiny breakout b/c of it.
