chemical peel gave me large pores.

Recommended Posts

I have always had pores that were barely visible,

but after I got a chemical peel my pores were huge!

they are all over my cheeks now. I'm sad because I don't

think I have a way to reverse this, I don't know if my pores will ever

be small again, any advice?

I think your pores are temporarily enlarged. I did a glycolic peel a week ago and it made my pores worse but they went back to normal after three days.

I'm sure they'll go back to normal, you're skin may be reacting as it is sensitive, chemical peels are v harsh!!

Good luck, and don't try and squeeze at your pores!!

:)

it was a pretty light peel, but I had about four of them.

my esthetician told me I should get microderm.

do you think this will help, or just make my skin worse?

Microderms are really good, they don't enlarge your pores. It's basically like a vaccum sucking up stuff from your pores and evening out your skin tone. I've had 5 and still have 3 more to do and I love them. I wouldn't trust a peel just because it can burn your skin and you don't know how long til the redness goes away, so microderms are very low maintenance and aren't as harsh.

okay, so I have heard mixed reviews on microderm.

you seem like you really like them, but I have heard that they temporarily

make skin worse. I was reading some reviews and people said that it

drew out tons if pimples and stuff. I don't want my skin to end up looking worse...

Well for me my skin didn't get worse the only thing I didn't like was the after procedure lotion they put on my skin it made it a litle greasy and I had to keep it on for at least an hour, but it's pretty good. Check out American Laser Center.
