The Regimen

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if the regimen could be used just for one area only? In my case it would be the chin area and around mouth. I do not get acne anywhere else or persistant on a daily basis for that matter. I believe i have hormonal acne in which i am trying to treat with diet right now and seems like i am going through an IB right now with it cause its getting worse, but could you only use it just for that area and it still be effective?

Some people do choose to treat only certain areas if they don't really break out in other areas.

If that's what you want to do, that's fine. You'll just have to tweak The Regimen a little bit--you won't need the full two pumps if you're only treating part of your face, so you'll have to adjust the amount of BP you use accordingly.

Also, you could use varying degrees of BP depending on your problem areas. For example, I will sometimes use a thin layer of BP all over my face, then apply a second, thicker layer around my problem areas like around my mouth, chin, and jaw line. That little extra BP on your acne prone areas really does the trick, especially to prevent breakouts caused by hormones

Thanks for the responses and advice! I am going to give this holistic strict diet approach another month before going and ordering this just in case i am going through a healthy detox purge. Here is the link to my diet log in which i attached pics of my current situation: That way you can see how it is focused in chin area only.

So if i do use it only on my chin would that just be less than a half pump probably?

Also would you just be able to use the starter kit without AHA and jobo oil and still get clear if used correctly?

I also read that Dan only applies it on his chin and around mouth, is this true? If so, how would you adjust accordingly for specific areas? I am really debating on ordering this tonight because i guess all the BP and products i used in the past i had never used a moisturizer and was not using correct amounts, so hopefully if i stay on a precise regimen and use it correctly my chin and around mouth can finally go away for good!!! Just hesitant on using harsh chemicals like bp all around mouth and chin again since my skin is sensitive and flakes easily.

Again please take a look at my posted pics in my diet log of the persitant areas i always get acne and tell me if this regimen would work out? Thanks!!!!!!

If your acne is localized to a certain area, then yes, you can decide to only apply the bp to that area.

JayQ, your acne looks very mild in your pictures, this Regimen should help. Also, since your breakouts are localized to your lower jaw, chin area, do you think shaving might be an issue? Here are some shaving tips. http://www.acne.org/faq.html#shave

Hope that helps.

I have always kind of wondered does it actually just irratate acne you already have or can it actually cause acne? I use an electric because being my skin is so sensitive blades would make it worse but i could try again. I have always read that an electric razor was the best way to go for acne prone skin???? I have Cetaphil Cleanser, should i lather that up and use it and try or should i just order the regimen and use the .org cleanser?

Here is updated pics of what i am dealing with now, it is much redder in person than what these pics show, and the left side hurts cause it is got a whitehead forming and is all tight feeling since i got benzaclin on it. Anyway this is the areas that are always bad. As you can see the worse is on the other side now, like i said it goes back and forth.

Well i said fk it and orderd the 16oz kit just now along with AHA and jobo oil to use later if needed. I think i am going to try the shaving method first with the cleanser just to see if that happens to make things better while staying on my holisitic diet, if that does not work then i will start the regimen in my problem areas only while continuing to try and eat healthy.

I pray that this will work, pray pray pray!!!!! I am wanting to be free.........

So my kit arrives monday and you think i should try the trac II blade with the cleanser with this inflammed acne near my mouth and on chin? Ive always used electric razor since i thought that was best for acne prone skin, but a TRAC II will still be ok you think?
