Retin-A

I am considering using Retin-A for my shallow scars. How much improvement can I expect after 6 months of use? How about 12 months? What level should I start off with? How much irritation should I expect?

I've been using Retin-A Micro 0.1% for about 8 months and so far I see about a 5 to 10% improvement in my shallow scars. You can expect drying and flaking, especially in the first few months of use. I started off with the strongest .1% with no problems besides the expected dryness and flaking around the mouth.

Good luck!

Hi, yeah, sorry...I fell and I couldn't get up.

Use the cream because it's just easier to use, and the cheapest place would be online at one of those Canadian online pharmacies. Also, get Retisol-A which the Canadian version.

Honestly you will see good improvement if not a total elimination of your shallow scars if you use it every other day for a couple of years.

Thanks. Have you used it yourself?

Because I'd have to dish out an unnecessary $80 just to see the doctor, not to mention I will be wasting 1.5 hours. What I don't understand is why does Canadapharmacy.com sell Restylane and other fillers to the US w/o a prescription but require a prescription for Retin-A? Doesn't make sense to me.

I started with the .05% cream, then switched to the .1% cream when my skin adjusted to the .05%. I've been on it for three years and three months and have noticed a definite improvement. Scars have smoothed over and wrinkles have diminished. I also use Pernox scrub, which is outstanding. When used together, they are a powerhouse combo.

How much improvement have you noticed after using it for over 3 years?
