accutane and salicylic acid

is it okay to use alicylic acid while on accutane? i am halfway through my second month and still breaking out a lil. I have an astringent that has salicylic acid and i used some last night just on the part of my face thats breaking out. It didnt burn or get really red after i used it so is it okay to keep doing it?? It defintely seems to be helping.

Noooo don't use salicylic acid, it is best to not use any topicals while you are on accutane, the first couple months will be when you will continue to break out, and using topical gels or ointments can prolong this, or just irritate your skin. I'd advise to avoid them, just stick to gentle facial cleansers like cetaphil.

I figured it probly wasn't the best idea. I'll stop using it.
