Strict diet and regular supplementation has not worked for me very well. Now I am going to try larger doses. What is a safe (but large enough to have an impact on my acne) amount of Vitamin A?

I check with a physican first before you up your dose in Vit A. It can be very toxic.

The RDI/DRI is 2,310 for, women, 3,000 for men and half that for Children...They estimate that you can start getting toxic at about 9,000-10,000 IU

Though that could depend on each individual.

You can read this thread on here too.

Good Luck

Where did you find those toxicity levels? 10,000 IU is the highest with no side effects according to most sources. 20,000 IU is when consistent side effects occur...

I'd keep it under 10,000UI/day to be on the safe side.

I'm taking 10,000 UI anyways. You can always stop taking it and it is supposed to be effective.
