pigmentation never gone....

i am using tretinoin cream and my PIH fade a lot after 3 weeks...but some very dark PIH around the bottom jaw dont go away.

how can i deal with this? :doh::doh:

Well, since it's "very dark" as you put it, it just may require months upon months to fade. Try ACV, seems like a lot of people like it.

I was told by an esthetician that some hyperpigmentation will never fully go away. If the damage is in the dermis (deeper layer of skin) then it will never fade completely. . .

but the same kind of pigmentation had appeared on my cheek and they fade much after these 3 weeks....

is it possible that the skin around the jaw process a lower rate of metabolism?

My red marks take YEARS to fade, not months. I have tons of them right now, and I don't foresee any of them going away for a long time. I haven't had an inflamed pimple in a long time, which is good because every single pimple I get leaves behind a red mark. I have fair skin. I'm currently using Finacea it's an RX, it's been a month, and I see a bit of a difference but not much. I would say my red marks have improved by 10%
