HELP! Family GP vs walk-in

Hi guys,

I am away at college right now and my accutane prescription is ending. I want to do a follow up and try to get some retin-A. However, I am too far from home to see my GP. Would I be able to just go to a walk-in clinic and ask them for that? What are the differences (in terms of what they will/can do for me) between seeing a doctor at a walk-in and going to my family doctor?

Walk-in doctors are usually pretty rushed, but usually before I go into a walk-in clinic I've done some background research on what sort of treatment to ask the doctor. Sadly, I usually know more about certain treatments/medications, particularly acne ones than walk-in docs.

Anyways if you explain your case you should most definitely be able to get a prescription for retin-A, if you wanted to continue with accutane for awhile longer you could probably get another refill from the walk-in clinic as well.
