Acutane Dryness.

I know water is very benificial in many ways but ive heard by drinking a lot of water you can counter the dryness of acutane. Maybe not for your lips but atleast for your skin. Is this true? Sorry if this is a repost, especially since i know theres a water thread somewhere.....Im so tired i really didnt feel like searching :)

"Retinoids work by altering the DNA transcription. Altering DNA decreases the size and output of the sebaceous glands. This treatment makes cells that enter the sebaceous glands less sticky making it hard for the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. It also helps to kill bacteria in the sebaceous glands as well as those found on the surface of the skin"

I don't see how drinking water would do anything..but then again I am not a biologist and either was the person spreading BS on the internet.

no water does not dry your skin out. it hydrates your skin. drink a lot of water. no more than 64 fl oz a day. and space it out evenly as not to intoxicate yourself.
