Me, before & after Accutane (pictures)

Hey people now I was looking for photos a LOT when I was starting accutane (before & after ones mostly) hoping that this would finally work as no creams or other anti-biotics did, so I digged through some old pictures and decided to grow a pair and just post them.

I do look very depressed in some but I'm a lot happier now, although depression has never happened to me I just looked miserable when taking them.

I've also switched from drinking coca cola to strictly mineral water and I think it's made a difference over the last few weeks! Not too sure but my skin has improved a lot since last month. (I came off accutane last month too, around June 6th was my last set of pills)

My skin is still healing and looking better every day really, I'm sure you can agree the difference is pretty big! Unfortunately though I only have the photos from one side, the other side of my face was pretty much the same though.

The following photos were all taken on the same phone (2 megapixel camera, pretty bad) but anyway...

Pre-tane;

A few months in;

Taken on a much higher quality camera with flash on;

Not perfect but a massive improvement and I'm really plased, the left side of my face (my left) has still been improving over the last few weeks (red marks fading for example)

Hey thanks! In June the marks were a lot more active but I'm going to keep drinking water and applying cocoa butter and hope it subsides, I think the water & butter have made a big difference in such a short time!

I also have some red marks on my cheeks.. And I really want them to go away coz that will make my face look sooo much better.. Anyways I have never used cocoa butter.. Might give it a try.. I read that you drink mineral water.. I try n drink more water.. But mineral water everyday.. That'll cost me some extra money...

Well we just buy a few 1.5 litre bottles when we go shopping, they cost about 70pence (not sure where you live though but in the US that's about $35!), I go through them pretty fast though I drink a lot. :)

Cocoa butter seems good, I read about on here but forgot about it, then I saw it in a shop last month and thought what the hell!

Today must be unofficial Inspiring Photo Day, lol. Everyone should check out the logs section also, there's some great before/after and before/mid-treatment photos up.

You look great! My derm told me that many people notice more improvements after their course is over, especially w/ the red marks. :dance: Can't wait til I'm done!

Hey man looks great...

I was wondering since you've been off over a month now:

about how long did it take for your lips to not be dry and to not have to apply lip balm 24/7?

Hmm think it was about a week and a half for them to stop being dry! They weren't that dry towards the end of my course though but earlier on they used to get really, really dry!
