Surfing! I live in Scotland and the sea is permanently freezing so that certainly acts as a distraction!

I also go to a comedy club a couple of times a week- laughter is indeed the best medicine! I wouldn't recommend sitting in the front row if you're feeling too self-conscious though...

I know this sounds nerdy...but I study Latin or Hebrew to distract myself...they are very rule-governed and precise languages, and if you spend a few hours consentrating on one of them, you won't be able to think of anything else.

I also dance and hit up bars with friends.

Glad I outed myself as a nerd.

I like to take long, hot baths. With lots of bubbles.

Reading is also an escape for me and going out for a walk somewhere or just riding around on buses to new places I find relaxing too (though those obviously depend on whether I can force myself out of the house in the first place...)

I'd like to do some volunteering this summer and I imagine that may help to take my mind away from my skin as well as helping out others.

Snuggling up in bed with candles and music on is also relaxing!

Be careful with the bubbles you use and the amount of rubbing you do to your skin. You don't whant to cause irritation.

I don't ignore acne anymore, or make distractions to forget. Instead I see acne as a tiny part of myself. It does nothing to change who I am...that is in my keeping alone. =)

Watch movies or read a book to escape. Exercise. Spend all day in bed with someone who loves me, flaws and all. :)

Now everyone will know I'm a nerd...but I like to read Harry Potter whenever I need a lift of spirits, as I can just escape to that world. Which means I've read those books a thousand times each.

I play guitar. I started playing when I got acne about seven years ago, and I never stopped. I play every day for at least an hour, it helps me unwind after (or before) long days. It's a great stress reliever and also a good skill to learn because people love to hear you play (if you're good). Pick up a guitar and you'll have a friend for life.

I drink alcohol. I started drinking alcohol when I got acne about seven years ago, and I never stopped. I drink alcohol every day for at least an hour, it helps me unwind after (or before) long days. It's a great stress reliever and also a good skill to learn because people love to watch you get drunk (if you're funny). Pick up a bottle and you'll have a friend for life.

That second one was a joke by the way...
