Sea Breeze making my face *more* oily?

Recommended Posts

So I was reading about this Sea Breeze astringent a couple weeks ago being good for controlling oily skin. I see it had 1% Salylic Acid, and I thought that was good since I've got a decent Clearasil gel product that has 2% and seems to work ok for me. Anyways, I bought a bottle of this stuff and have been using it almost a week now (once or twice a day) and it seems to make my skin *more* oily than before, which was already too much, especially in the t-zone. I thought this stuff was supposed to help things out? My face feels like its been lightly sprayed with olive oil by the time I get home from work, lol. I can't say my moderate acne has gotten any worse or better from this product, but why would this be making my face more "icky"? Any over the counter suggestions to wash my face with in the morning to help keep it from getting so oily?
