so ya. my question is...is it ok to be weight lifting and taking protein shakes while on accutane? thanks.

oh ok. thanks for the reply tavbo! i really want to get in shape while i'm acne free so that i'm not self concious going to the weight room.

You should be fine. Just make sure the protein doesn't have vitamin A in it. Some do, some don't, just need to read the label. You will probably notice that you'll be much more sore after your workouts. I workout cardio and weights 4-5 days a week and never used to get sore. But since starting Accutane, whatever muscle group I work out one day will be sore for like 2-3 days after. So, I just make sure to take some Advil before I go to the gym to be able to make it through the aches during workouts.

ok no vit a. got it. thanks. that's funny though, i've never noticed my muscles being sore after work out. except that time when i started working out again since a long time. :S. i'm a pretty skinny guy i'd say. maybe that's why.

You may have a higher posibility to develope joint pains as a side effect.

Why can people just stay relax for 6 months while they are in a special drug treatment.....
