Staying away from milk, which foods do I have to avoid?

HI

As I've posted in another thread, a doctor once made a test with me and saw that I cannot really digest milk, hazelnut, eggs and wheat flour. (in numerical terms: the values they're measured are normal if <0.35. My results: wheat flour 8.8, eggs 29, milk 57, hazenut 77)

He however told me he's sure I don't have some gluten allergy or something since I've never had any symptoms.

So, since I've love eating in a restaurant and love especially some foods with eggs I cannot avoid all these foods completely. and I've was not willing for a long time to avoid milk. But since I've tried soy milk I must say it almost even tastes better so why not. And since milk contains hormones it's probably the most important to stop that.

But what exactly I wont be able to eat anymore? Of course I have to avoid milk, cheese, chocolate. I've also replaced my whole breakfast from kelloggs with milk to oatmeal, honey and soy milk. During the day I usually eat a lot of meat (body building :-), pasta (if I eat at home whole grain though), vegetables, fruits, smoothies and the normal sidedishes like potatoes, rice etc.

But are there any kind of foods you would never know that they contain milk which I have to avoid?

And how long does it usually take to see some effects? I've stopped drinking milk 4 days ago and today I've just forgotten and ate rice pudding and since then my stomach just feels a bit strange..maybe I'm just hoping to feel something strange ;-)

I would first recommend to simply avoid processed foods. It's usually easy to tell if whole, unprocessed foods contain dairy.

Then, you can go to a website like godairyfree.org and take their advice about restaurants, recipes, etc.
