Hypopigmented Scarring

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Unlike some of you, I have huge patches of hypo-pigmented areas on my cheeks. This was caused by CO2 laser/accutane combination. I always have to wear makeup to cover it. I don't know how much money I have blown on cosmetics to find that nothing really works. It either does not give me enough coverage, is too greasy or looks like I am ready for my circus appearance. Mineral makeup does not work. I have tried all the medical grade camouflage creams (Dermablend, Covermark, etc.).

It has been suggested that I get medical tattoo to add some pigment. I really do not want to go this route b/c I would like to take care of the scarring first. So, I am waiting for the next breakthrough in scarless healing and rolling in the meantime.

Can any of you recommend a makeup that adds coverage without making me feel like I am wearing a mask? I am really sick of the makeup thing. I pray for the day I can go out and not have to hide behind it.

Thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations.
