Hey, I've been on Accutane for almost two months now, and my active acne is all but gone (cross your fingers) but I've got the red marks left over...

I was just wondering if there was anything I could do while on Accutane to continue to improve my complexion and start to get rid of those redmarks. I started using a lotion today with cocoa butter in it, I heard that helps. Any ideas?

Since you're on accutane you'll want to do something that doesn't dry your skin, you could try ACV? Best of luck to you.

I am in the same situation... except on my my 5th month... Definitly dont do anything to irritate your skin (peels, acids etc).. I have been using Emu oil which seems to be helping.. stay well hydrated.. maybe some Omega's ..Good luck with the rest of your treatment.

Congratulations on your Accutane success.

For the red marks I have a few suggestions for you to try:

Tamanu Oil or Squalene oil.

Here in the UK we have a brand called SBC (google SBC gels) who make a range of oil freegels using natural/homeopathic based ingredients (some chemicals are present but these are minimal and the entire range is suitable for use on babies and I have found them to be very gentle and soothing) As a previous post mentiions your skin may still be sensitive so I would be cautious about what you use. To buy direct off the SBC website is expensive but they are available from QVC UK or easy to get hold of on ebay. I would highly recommend the Vitamin E and Vitamin C ones for red marks. The SBC propolis gel is also great for acne/keeping the area clean.
