I don't go without makeup...not anywhere public anyway.

I won't even run downstairs to the laundry room in my apartment building without it on.

My family, boyfriend (who I live with) and a few close friends have seen me without makeup, but I am way too mortified to leave my house without at least foundation, cover up and powder on.

I haven't let my BF see me without makeup on, but I have a sneaky suspicion that he's seen me inadvertently when I have slept over. I have only been dating him for 6 months so the relationship is still new and i'm not ready to show him all of my red marks. I know he'll eventually see them though. My last two BF's never saw me without makeup and I dated one for 3 years.

My skin hasn't been completely clear no red marks or anything in 8-9 years. It's sad.

I used to never let my boyfriend see me w/o makeup either - but we moved in together relatively quickly and it seemed silly to wear makeup 24/7 not to mention terrible for my skin, it was never a problem for him so I forced myself to accept not wearing makeup at home around him

I feel you on the pain of years of not being blemish-free.

I'm almost 28 and have been battling my skin since I was 12 or 13...probably started wearing makeup not long after that and have been covering my skin up ever since

Uhmm.. For the past year I have only worn make up once for a family photoshoot. Other than that, I'm always without makeup.

My boyfriend sees me without makeup, but he is the only one. I always have at least something on when I leave the house. I hate you acne.

the only time I will really go out of the house completely barefaced is when I have to go to the dermatologist or dentist where i have no choice in the matter.

As my skin improves though I am enjoying wearing less and less. Right now I'm down to a light dusting of mineral concealer followed by a light dusting of mineral foundation + some lip balm. Maybe a little bronzer on my cheeks for a splash of color. That is my standard application for just running errands, shopping, movies, going to family or friends house, etc. So to everyone else it looks like I'm not wearing make up at all. I just put enough on to cover the red marks and even out my skin tone. My goal is to make it look like I'm not wearing makeup even though I still feel like I have to :(

Same! I mean, I look the best with a full face carefully applied, but I'm too lazy for that everyday :P

When I go tanning

I wash off my makeup

and then I run errands afterward, people really don't look that badly at me but I don't do it often

I almost never go without makeup--I put it on first thing in the morning before anyone sees me, I check on it a billion times through the day, and I've even put more on before I go to bed. My fiance has seen me without makeup on before because there was a point where it didn't bother me--I was on birth control and it was keeping my face under control. But then I had to go off the pill due to some financial concerns and I think my acne started to come back a little; then I went off of my Prozac at the same time, and I think it warped my brain chemistry a little. It made me completely obsessed with my face and I started wearing it full time.

Now he can't ever see me with my makeup completely off--I know he's seen me in the morning when I'm asleep and it's kinda come off in the middle of the night, but as soon as I wake up it goes right back on. And I'm getting worse, where the makeup isn't enough and I so want to believe my fiance when he says it's fine, he never has to worry about me grossing him out or anything, but it's still so embarrassing to have. I'm hoping soon to get everything under control though, to maybe deal with some issues and hopefully try to clear my face up again (beyond what's I'm doing now, which isn't a lot since I don't have a ton to spend on different stuff that might not work on me).

Friday at work. I used to wear it allllllllllll the time though. Now I usually dont bother wearing makeup to work (no one to impress.. only older people shop where I work lol) or school (mostly because I don't bother talking to a lot of people there) unless I am breaking out bad. If I'm going out in public with my friends, or going somewhere where I might see people I know (like the mall) I will wear it for sureeeee.

I was the same way until about a week ago! I realized it's all about confidence and how you carry yourself, and to be honest when I read people's faces, they are NEVER looking at my skin or checking out my acne. It's always the last thing on anyone's mind. The worst thing you can do is worry about it (not saying you personally yourowndisaster!!) that's when others take notice =)

yeah I used to wear makeup to work, but then I decided my skin needed a break, so I stopped all use of it there. I've noticed NO difference in how any of my co-workers treat me so I usually feel really comfortable while I'm at work. I just wish I could always be that comfortable outside of it lol.

Are you wearing make up to bed?! You should NEVER sleep in make up

you went out without any make up on, for more than half an hour.

I go to town/work every day with tinted moisturiser only. Or a tiny bit of concealer only. But never nothing... meh.

Eh. I can't even remember the last time I went out, like out, out without make-up. I go everywhere with it. My make-up lasts for about 12 hours, and I think theres alot on my face when I go to sleep. I'm really lazy, and its sad :( how I don't wash my face at night...no ones there, except me...but I still wear it. Lately, I've been growing increasingly paranoid about washing it off, but I don't want too. My regimen takes alot of time every morning (I think), and the make-up process takes even longer *sighs*. So I just don't feel like washing it off. Its bad, very, very bad of me.

I think I wear my make-up everywhere. Even at my job at the resident retire center. One of teh residents even said to me one day...when i didn't take as long as i usually do to blend..young lady you know make-up is supposed to be used to enhance beauty, not cake on and cover up your whole face. I wasn't wearing alot either that day, either. Oh well, I guess.

I agree, skin needs some down-time from makeup. It needs to breathe!

I don't wash it off before I go to bed, and once in a great while I end up putting more on so I can be sane enough to sleep, so no. But I don't believe it's causing me enough of a problem with my face, in my case--I have the occasional blemish but it's more hiding redness from years of using stupid crap and using it far too much. Like I said, it's more a mental issue with me than anything--I went years with far worse acne than I have now and it never bothered me till the past year when my brain chemistry was drastically altered. I guess it's more of an emotional issue that is being focused on my face than any real concern with overactive acne or whatever--more of an OCD type issue than zomg break outs, when I really think about it.

Basically the acne isn't the problem--it's my reaction to it, and my mental stuff that needs to be sorted more than my face, really.

I am paranoid, I can't even leave the house for 5 minutes without putting on some powder.

The last itme I didn't wear makeup was when my grandfather was in the hospital and we had to rush down. I felt so uncomfortable.

I never wear make-up despite my terrible acne scars. I wore it for the first time one day last year and i didn't really like it...felt like I had something on my face all day. But I'm going to give it another try again soon and maybe use it every once in awhile.
