What is the best makeup to use on flaky skin?

I have been using everyday minerals, and a cheap liquid foundation for red spots. I have been flaking out a bit with the Ziana gel but it goes away after I apply moisturizer. However, as soon as I put the powder makeup on it accentuates the flakes!! Help!! What can I use, and what would be best for my skin? What is best for an open pimple/?

When I used the BP regimen, I flaked a TON. No matter how much I moisturized, I still had the flakes. I wore liquid foundation and it didn't help. I'm getting on Accutane now, but I don't think I will flake like I did before. If it's the powder that makes it more noticeable, skip it. I would suggest an all-over liquid foundation instead of something drier. And moisturize a ton!

Stay away from powder-based make-up. It exacerbates flaking.

Find a moisturizing, but non-comedogenic, liquid or cream foundation. Or, just use a tinted moisturizer and a separate concealer for dark spots (or active pimples). Neutrogena, Clinique, Revlon, and Laura Mercier have tinted moisturizers. I don't know what else is available where you are. Shiseido's stick concealer has excellent coverage.
