Regimen after Accutane

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I finished a 24 week course of accutane exactly 8 weeks ago.

I'm starting to get a few spots and want to nip it in the bud.

Do you think it would be ok for me to start on the regimen or is it too soon and should I let me skin recover further?

what is your daily face care routine?

when i finished my first course of accutane (like 4 years ago) i didnt use anything on my face.i was washing with plain water when i was taking shower (once daily) and for a year and half my face was clear without even clogged pore or something.after that year and half i started to break out again...

Many members have used a topical retinoid after Accutane to maintain clarity. Retin A or Tazorac are great; some might have success with Differin.

Just washing with plain water at the moment twice daily. Once in the morning in shower like yourself then I just splash my face at night with lukewarm water before bed.

My skin is still a little irritated (prone to flushing, redness etc etc). Not sure whether to leave it a further month and let it settle or slowly reintroduce the regimen.

u can try to buy some mild clenser and moisturiser (cetaphil for example) and after a week or so u will see if u need regimen or maybe u will be just fine with clenaser+moisturiser (twice a day)...thats just my suggestion ;)
