Hello,

I'm thinking about using Obagi skin care system. I don't know anyone who has used it but if you have used it or know anyone who has can you give me some feedback? I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Obagi is an OTC product. Skin care specialists sell it, but you can also just buy it online.

So I'm moving this back. OP, sorry for the confusion!

heyy!

so I used obaji for two months and it made my entire face paleish and i have darker skin so it was very noticable. After two weeks, it did darken some marks that I've had for 3+ years which was good, but I'm not exactly sure if that outways the fact that my skin got much lighter. P.S. If you are using Obaji for acne and not acne scarring, personally it didnt work that well. ( I have moderate to severe acne ). And it's very expensive for what it does ($400 dollars) so I would look @ other products before trying it :)

I've been on the Obagi Nu-Derm regimen for almost 13 weeks now. Which line are you looking into? I've kept sort-of-a-log on my regimen here: http://www.acne.org/messageboard/Obagi-Nu-...23#entry2578623, as well as photos from 4 weeks on in my gallery, to show the progress. I've been very happy with my results, I've tried many other OTC products. It is pricey, but I was spending much more with all the other things I've been purchasing. What concerns do you have about starting it? I'd be happy to answer any questions you have! :)

Types/severity of acne: http://www.acne.org/types-of-acne.html -- look at the first two sections for types and severity. But if you're going in this week, they'll tell you.

If you do decide to go on Obagi, it will temporarily worsen, so be prepared. More breakouts and peeling are expected, and that is just the process of how Retin-A works, especially with the other products in the Nu-Derm line. Just know that you're purging all this old skin so that your new skin can come through, and though it will take a while, your patience and diligence will pay off. Nu-Derm may also help with the reduction of your scars or prep you for other scar treatments, depending on what you and your derm decide is the best path.

We've got family genes to thank, but at least we're doing something about it, right?

Keep us updated :)

I'm not sure what type I am. I will be going this week to find out what will be best for me. I'm scared that it will worsen my face especially the whole peeling part of it (not the selling point for me but oh well). I would consider my face to be light to moderate acne now but before it was like it hit me all at once during my undergrad. I feel like I'm in the same boat with you, in our twenties and still breaking out, family genes yay:(, and the complete embarrassment of having acne. My downfall right now is the scaring and I think I have ice pick scaring. I too have tried everything....the harsh stuff to the home remedy and all.

Thank you so much for your reply it means a lot;)
