Best way to limit/prevent hair loss whilst on accutane

Recommended Posts

hi guys, im starting to slowly lose hair in places, e.g eyebrows much weaker, hair much weaker e.t.c, and i was wondering if theres anything i can take/do (eg Scalp massages/Hair Oils/Supplements) to help make the roots stronger so they dont fall out as easily..

do they fall out because of the lack of oil (so they're really dry and weak/unhealthy?)

thanks in advance

p.s ..accutanes really working tho, my face is about 95% clear, just the red marks left and a few minor scars!!

Ask your hairdresser/barber/hairstylist about moisturizing shampoo and/or other products. Accutane dries out all your skin, including your scalp.

Well u have two choices u can speak to ur derm, maybe either lower ur dose or stop accutane and hope that your hair loss isn't premanent, or keep taking accutane and risk losing ur hair.

some have tried bioton, but some have broken out w/ acne from it. Eventhough ur on accutane now, when u get off u don't want your acne back.

does biotin actually help with the hair loss?

It is good for hair and nails. Does it work for everyone I can't answer that. I would ask your derm if it is okay to take bioton. I can't say though that ur hair will grow back or stop falling out if u keep taking accutane though.

good luck
