Clindoxyl Gel + Cetaphil

Recommended Posts

A short question: I recently started a Clindoxyl Gel regiment, and I'd like to think after but two days, hardly even that, I've noticed some real improvement. As per my doctor's recommendation, I apply at night, wash it off in the morning, and go the whole day without any other applications--except a bit of Cetaphil moisturizer to keep my from flaking, of course.

My question, though, is regarding applying said moisturizer after applying the gel? I'm only a few days into the regiment, but I find it dries out my skin so much (the BP, I believe) that I have a tough time falling asleep.

So, in short, is there a problem with applying moisturize on top of the Clindoxyl Gel? My thinking tells me "no", as all it would be doing is balancing out the drying effects of the BP and I don't think it would interfere with the effects of the clindamycin?

I appreciate any insight into the matter.

I haven't used the Clindoxyl gel, but I do use a BP gel in the morning and I sometimes put on moisturizer. It doesn't do anything bad.

I recommend applying moisturizer. Just wait about 10 minutes or so for the Gel to dry.

Oh, and you may get more responses by moving this to a different forum, like the mild/moderate acne forum or the prescription topicals forum.

Thanks, that was my thinking as well.

Likewise, I'd appreciate it if the mods could move the topic to said forum, thanks.
