i heard infra red light was really good for acne treatment but thats all i hear. So i was wondering...

How many times and for how long should i use the infrared light on my face?

Is it completely safe or should i like cover my eyes?

I have an infra red (with rosecea [not sure about that spelling!] red and blue light).

The instructions recommend I use it 15 mins to half an hour a day. I try using it before i go to bed or when I get up in the morning after washing my face (moisturising is important too).

It also instructs to wear goggles if you have sensitive eyes, but claims it cannot damage them and that it is impossible to burn your skin.

Actually, I haven't been using it much lately, because I stopped persevering and had a lack of self-discipline in doing it as part of my routine, but for the first couple of weeks I started using it, it did appear to stop my skin from inflaming any worse than it was.

It seems whatever the regime, it needs perseverance for a true experiment. I need to work on that!
