If you've never used an electric before, it will be irritating for 2-3 weeks before your skin gets used to it. After that, it is smooth sailing.

I use a norelco reflex action and like it. Just bought a norelco reflex action plus. They have a 21 day money back no questions asked guarentee. If you still find it irritating you get your cash back.

Check out http://iavbbs.com/gflinn/ and the forums on that page for lots of info on electric razors.

maybe its not the shaver, but your technique of shaving?

i used to always break out with lots of little white heads 48 hours after shaving (esp on my jaw line). did the following, and it stopped that.

1)use disposable razers, single blade.

2)only do DOWN strokes, NEVER up strokes <----this was one of the main things.

3)after every 'stroke' rinsing the razer in warm water to clean it.

4)only using a razer 2-3 times before binning it.

5) and taking a shower before hand to soften up the hair.

well I prefer disposible, for a start its only a single blade, which means less irriation (although it also means less close shave, but i don't really care about that) and teh second reason is the Price.

10 disposible, costs me 78p (english money £0.79)

now i can use one disposable for 3 shaves before chucking it, i average 3 shaves a week. So a £0.79 pack of 10 will last, 10 weeks. so for 2 and half months i pay 79p!

now compare that to the latest mach3 extreme turbo thing. where a pack of 5 razers costs £4-£5.
