advice -- accutane yes or no

]Today was my first day at the dermatologist after having acne for 3+ years. Basically last year I finally went on Retina-Micro and that made my skin EXPLODE with terrible, painful acne that I neverrrrr had before! I had never had acne on my cheeks (or even blackheads!) and it totally erupted into large patches filled with puss. Gross, i know. Finally those are gone but I am left with scars and still have acne!!!! I go to get facials regularly which has DEFINATELY helped.

OK, so like I said today was my first day at the dermo. He is putting me on Differin, some anti-biotic I forgot the same of (lol) and birth control. He said I will try this out for 6-8 weeks and if it doesn't work, I will go on Accutain. I AM SO SCARED!! At first I was all for it, because I saw some of the results people have gotten that I know, but I read some of the stories on here and I don't know what to do!!

So if you could PLEASE help me, here are some questions....

-Did your skin get worse before it got better? If so, How bad? Was it worse than a breakout you've had before?

-Did your skin get red/dry? If so, how long was it like that?

-Did you suffer from depression?

-If you've finished treatment, have you relapsed since?

-Do you have to completely stay out of the sun?

-WAS IT WORTH IT?!?!?!

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCHHHH!!!!!!!!!

P.s. Have any of you used differin? Did it work for you?
