What to do with these types of marks? picture inside

Hi, I'm kinda clear of acne.. juste 2-3 little one but nothing big

Only thing, my face is really red ... My derm told me there's nothing to do just wait until they fade away...

I saw that extra virgin olive oil has help some of you so I gave it a try. 1 week now but no significant improvements.

This is just my right side, the other side is better but still... :

I know that the pictures are not really good but I don't have camera.... this is from my iphone.

First, is this hyperpigmentation? Could it fade away in 2 months or so?... Summer is coming up and I'm scared how I will look like :(

I remember having those red marks in the past when I finished accutane but can't remember how long it took for them to go away...

Thanks

They will eventually fade, so don't worry! The time it takes to fade varies from person to person...It's been seven months since my big acne outbreak, and my marks have fade about 60%, and that's from using no topicals besides my Cetaphil moisturizer.

7 months is so long :( I'll have to be like that this summer it will suck.

I don't feel my face is dry... do you apply cetaphil moisturizer anyway? (I use this one too with cetaphil cleanser)

How moisturizer helps with marks?

What I have done that helps me is exfoliating a few times a week with baking soda + cetaphil cleanser, and every morning using a diluted ACV toner, then at night(not every single night though) egg white and lemon mask. all these are super cheap too. My skin gets a little dry if I over do it so I moisturize with Oil of Olay SPF 15 and a little olive oil in the AM then at night i moisturize with olive oil. My redmarks aren't going away extremely quickly but they are fading. Yours will fade but it will take time

Well, I was stupid and picked and beat the shit out of all my acne! If you didn't attack your acne, you red marks may fade much quicker! My red marks were pretty severe... they have all lightened...and some have faded completely. In the winter months my skin was really dry and irritated (I live in the Toronto area, and it's still cold as hell!), so that didn't help the red marks. I hear they heal best when the skin is moisturized, so I'm hoping my marks heal in the upcoming warm months!

Good luck to you~

every body on here is saying to:

A) drink a cup of water and lemon juice in the morning an hour befor eating

B) rub extra virgin olive oil on it. (EVOO)

C) exfoliate with bi-carb soda/powder.

give it a go. I started them all today. good luck.

^ A simple google search will yield an answer. But since people don't like to do it for whatever reason, it's simply the removal of dead skin cells.

Do not use baking powder.
