Picking facial scabs resulting from acne

Hey guys, I have a bad habit that I am trying to break. A big pimple on my chin dried up, and I know I should have left it alone, but I couldn't resist the urge to pick off the scab that remained in its place.

The scab wasn't "new" so it was easy to peel off, and it wasn't deep BUT I am scared that it will scar. There is a red mark left, but I was wondering what could I use to hopefully prevent or minimise scarring?

Cheers. :)

Well don't touch the scab at all. Hopefully the red mark will go away soon (maybe a week or two). If it doesn't fade by itself, you could try putting a little extra virgin olive oil on a cotton swab and rub against the red mark. Leave it on for about 10 min then rise off. Hope this helps =)
