OK to use STIEVAMYCIN with BENZACLIN?

I have been using stievamycin for over a year and my acne has not gone away. I went to see my doctor again yesterday and he prescribed me Benzaclin (benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin). He told me to use Benzaclin in the morning and stievamycin at night. However, Stievamycin contains erythromycin 4%. I heard that there is an adverse drug interaction between erythromycin (which is found in stievamycin) and benzaclin. Is that true? If so, should I still use the cream like my doctor told me to?

thanks
