The best treatments in the USA for scars? Please read.

I just started working for American Airlines, so that means that I can fly practically anywhere. I would like to know the name of the best doctors in the US. I have a combination of rolling, and boxed scars... I'm looking for real results...smoothbeam,needling and subsicion. Anybody with real results in this forum that can recommend me a good doctor?

Thanx.

Adrian

For Rolling type , I would suggest getting Subcision (about 4 seesions)

followed by dermabrasion.

After dermabrasion use Soothbeam.

Adrian....be sure to read the faqs above. What you need to figure out is this:

1. What TYPE of scars you have (icepick, boxcar, pitted, rolling, etc..)

2. Where the doctors are that perform the best treatments for YOUR type of scarring

After you figure those things out, then you make your decisions accordingly.

You're right! I missed a small sentence in her post! Sorry!

Well, I got very good results with needling by Lilian in DC. My large cheek boxcar is pretty much gone after two needling procedures. The good thing about needling is that it works on every kind of scar. I had quite a mixture of scars and found that needling worked excellent on all types of scars.

I'll be glad to give you her e-mail if you want it.

She's a doll!

Denise2: What's the down time for a needling procedure??? How much money are we talking about? How many treatments?

Anybody else with experience with needling, subcision?

I've had both procedures, I'm in the UK though, so I guess you won't be flying over! Downtime is around 5-7 days for needling (although you'll still be pinkish) and down time for subcision is 3-7 days although you may still have minor bruising.

Adrian: downtime for needling is about 7 days. For more explicit questions about price, aftercare, and whatnot, it's best to e-mail Lilian and ask her directly. She would be the person to consult since I'm not sure what she is charging nowadays. I plan on getting some more needling done to a few scars and have just e-mailed her myself. This should be my last needling session. I was her first guinea pig, so her prices may be different.

If you want her e-mail, let me know.
