What Did You Eat Today?

Recommended Posts

That's why internet communication sucks. You can't express emotions accurately.

True.

I am actually abstinent, as dumb as that sounds. I mean sure when I am in a relationship sex is something I do have, but not all the time. I wonder what other animals masturbate? I can't really think of any. I think mental stimulation (porn) is unnatural because if there was no porn I think there would be less "horny" people out there, for me anyways. Without porn I am never really horny, I mean sometimes if I have cool dreams or something but not enough for me to masturbate to. I think it is also a matter of age. I mean when I was in my teens I would fantasize pretty damn good, but now a days I never fantasize about that same stuff. I think it's just me getting older, and my hormones are finally calming down, probably another reason my acne went away.

To each their own, I was just making the statement with purely comical intentions anyway. But yes, animals are just as drrty as us. Just take a day to read about bonobos. Or check this wiki article about animal sexual behavior.

So far for breakfast: Green smoothie with wild blueberries, mango, kale and a dallop of coconut oil. Cup of green tea. Few hours later snacked on some seed crackers dipped in smoked tomato basil hummus (I had to force myself to stop eating the hummus, very good!). A few swigs of goat milk kefir - tasted pretty good, never had it before.

Interesting and disturbing at the same time, haha. I guess I am more like a bear, now I know they can't masturbate.

fruit salad and raw vegetable salad and water and sunflower seeds and raisins.

I'm almostttttt totally clear.

are you going to update us with photos? thats good news

I don't want to take pictures because words are so much better. Pictures can't pick up the detail of my skin. But I will update once I'm totally clear which should not be very long.

Your icon is pretty funny in conjunction with your signature, hahaha.

yea it is..i like looking at food for some reason, im always watching the food chanel haha

arent you the one like last week was like ACNE HAS RUINED MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!

im so happy that you are clear now surprised.gif you stuck it out and are rewarded good for you!

yea it is..i like looking at food for some reason, im always watching the food chanel haha

wow, and almost nothing they make you could ever eat, i feel sorry for you

LOL hopefully once her acne is gone she will begin to eat more of the foods she watches on tv once your clear i recommend doing an experiment and start adding in foods one at a time that you used to like to see if they effect your acne at all. thats what im doing now and its awesome cause im eating foods i used to love again and im not gaining any acne at all. i assume i had a food allergy to atleast one that i used to eat that triggerd my acne i think it was milk.. seems how i havent started drinking it again yet..eusa_think.gif

ive also found out that zucchini is my new favorite veggie, seasoned right and i could eat those all day!! and kimchi! been eating alot of kimchi lately i heard the cabbage and red peppers are excellent acne fighting foods.. and so far it hasnt broke me out but also hasnt cleared me more so i just continue to eat it cause its good!

Also ben getting about 15 mins of sun a day no sunscreen and it feels great even when its cold at this time the sun feels so good on my skin i hope it helps with my redmarks soon it hasnt made them brighter at all for the past few days that ive done it.eusa_dance.gif

I read somewhere that red peppers are a nightshade and can cause acne.

I don't think I will ever be able to eat those gorgeous huge sandwhiches they always show on "diners drive ins n dives"..but it's kind of a good thing that I have acne to stop me from eating unhealthy because it can prevent me from developing other problems in the future that that kinda food causes.

You didn't read the whole article now did you? Hands/claws are not required silly.

Anyway, this is the what did you eat thread, so from now on the only animal talk should be about how well they go with parsnips and butter.

Yes and unless you're actually sensitive or allergic to a food, there's no reason to always avoid it. Treats are treats, have them occasionally.

Some people can't get away with eating one small treat...I am beginning to realize how sensitive I am to a lot of types of food.

I discovered that I can't eat eggs, raisins, dried fruit, olives, salt, or nuts/seeds without breaking out and I can't eat salmon either. Fruit and raw vegetables are the only things I know for sure are safe to eat. It's really depressing that I can't even have a few raisins when I want something sweet.

I am still experimenting with cooked vegetables and meat but I feel so limited. For dinner I will probably eat mixed greens with vinegar dressing and raw cucumbers and raw carrots...it isn't appatizing at all but I have no choice really..I can't really enjoy eating anymore.

I feel like going to the emo forum now ha ha

Exactly. If you are sensitive to something that gives you a bad reaction, def. avoid it. But as you eat better and heal, you'll probably be able to tolerate more foods in the future. Like dairy might bother you right now, even just a little bit, but once your body isn't all inflamed you may be able to enjoy a dish of ice cream no problem. But yeah, in the beginning you must be really strict.

I just think it's unhealthy in general even if it doesn't cause breakouts, because nightshade vegetables leach out the calcium in your bones.

I do eat meat, just not eggs, and the meat has to be organic.

It's pretty common to have problems with nightshades. And sweet peppers absorb a lot of pesticides so should be organic. Which is really expensive.

Many.

Arby's bacon/chedder/roast beef, curly fries, tea

dinner = stew, sweet tea

I think it's just me getting older, and my hormones are finally calming down, probably another reason my acne went away.

ah hah!

My hormones calmed down because I made them, sexual hormones that is. And by me getting older it has remained at a level stable, steady state. I personally controlled my own hormones, not my body, my body followed the leader and my face cleared up in no time. Not only sexual hormones but the use of soap/topicals. I can't believe people wonder where acne or pimples come from. Inside the pore there is desiccation, due to topicals and hot/warm water, which also move around oils. The pore is then dried and the skin INSIDE the pore has no where to go or nothing to do but sit and flake off inside the pore, then sebum fills the pore to compensate for the dry interior pore ---> Pimples.

made coconut milk pumpkin ice cream today wiggle.gif

Yummy vapor! that sounds awesome. I've made strawberry and chocolate coconut milk ice cream before, but pumpkin? must. try. did you put pumpkin pie spices in it? I made my own "pumpkin latte" the other day. It was coffee topped with coconut milk that I mixed pumpkin puree and spices into with a touch of maple syrup. it had good flavor but towards the end I was getting little bits of pumpkin in my mouth which wasn't too enjoyable.

Today I had sausage and eggs for breakfast with some coffee. Then some pemmican. Southwest style chicken for lunch (chicken, green/red/yellow peppers, onions, spices, chicken broth, salsa verde and a dollop of sour cream), blueberries and some dark choc. covered cacao nibs. kombucha. sirloin steak with sweet potato and ghee.

You can. You just have to change your definition of "treat".... chemical/gluten/soy filled processed crap is not a "treat"...

Change the way you think about these things and realize you can have "treats" whenever you want. A treat is a bite of raw, organic chocolate. It's a scoop of homemade vegan ice cream. It's a sweet slice of pineapple. (or anything else you can make out of the foods your body will tolerate). You have to get creative.

Stop wanting crap and you'll realize you aren't missing much.

I tried berry (strawberry + blueberries + coconut milk + stevia) ice cream, but it sort of made a weird flavor, though possibly just a bad recipe. I would try chocolate, but I think it might break me out, even when dark (not sure why -- it's strange). The pumpkin was pretty good. I just used coconut milk, pumpkin, spices (nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, etc), stevia, and some maple syrup. I found it on some paleo website, which I'll post the link to in the desert thread.

Coconut-based ice cream is so good and takes me almost no time to make. All I do is put the ingredients together, let it cool down in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes, and put it into my electronic ice cream maker for 15 minutes.

banannas, grapes, water, and really terrible tasting clams. If anyone knows any good clam recipes pleaseee tell me cuz they taste disgusting!! Clams have iodine so I will wait and see if it will break me out but, I really need the B12 and iron in it because I think I may be anemic.

So far I have literally only one tiny pimple on my face, and it's on my lip caused by a blackhead coming to a head. Sooooo I'm basically free from acne..and can finally try out different food to see what will cause breakouts.

lil butter, lil onion, lil garlic, SPICES

But I've loved clams since I was little. If you cook them for too long they get too chewy.

I kicked it today with~

~celery, carrots, and tahini

~more chinese herb shop tea (I get a burst of energy after drinking)

~green tea

~pepitas

-ground beef, eggs, and butter with spices

I think I may be intolerant to eggs, which I actually reacted to during muscle testing. My head has a weird heavy dullness feeling after I eat them, like it gets tired all of a sudden. I've always kind of just ignored it and associated that feeling with breakfast food. Pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. never made me feel good after breakfast growing up (even though they all taste delicious). But even the taste wasn't enough to shake that bad tired stomach-not-happy feeling that came after. Hm...

I don't crave crap, I crave things like baked sweet potatoes, vegetable soup with brown rice, beans and mexican rice. These are the things that I want but cannot have.

The things you mentioned above do break me out and don't sound appealing at all, ice cream is really gross. I don't want anything that tastes like junk food, I want something that tastes like REAL food, like mexican rice, a good hearty soup, a meaty sandwhich. Stuff like that. I crave sweets very rarely since I'm so used to not eating them and gave them up at a very young age, just eating raisins or dried figs will satify my sweet tooth but I can't even eat that without breaking out.

I totally feel you. And I'm sorry for listing random things because I do realize they are also things that can break people out. I have soooo many food intolerances.. honestly that when I was younger (before I came to these realizations I have now) I was suicidal over it. So I really do feel you.

Let's try this: what can you eat? Come up with a list (not saying you have to tell us here, just for yourself) and then work within the list to figure out something that can be a treat for you.

It's hard. I find myself growing bored and having to get creative a lot or else I tend to get depressed about my diet. But when you can push past that feeling, it becomes fun.
