Siava 55 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Banana for breakfast. Jade pearl rice with sauted onions, squash, and garlic in hoisin sauce for my mid-morning snack and lunch. Dinner will be artichoke on whole wheat, tomato and cucumber drizzled with balsamic vinegar, and black rice pudding for dessert. We just got in a case of assorted "exotic" rices so you can guess what I'll be eating for awhile.

I'mHeather 0 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I agree, some diets are to "extreme" for me. I prefer to eat as well as I can handle and have the foods I enjoy on a limited basis. I don't like just cutting certain foods out, like pizza, chips/salsa, etc. I enjoy food way too much. I have found that I can eat my fav chips/salsa when I want, like once/twice a week for an afternoon snack because I make my own salsa and use all natural tortilla chips. Just have to limit the chips. Was actually even toying with the idea of buying some multi grain toritillas and making my own chips. Maybe too ambitious for me, but we will see. ANYWAY, sorry for my ramblings.I wake up at 4:15 now to do P90X so it's a long day! After I worked out I ate 2 eggs (one yolk, one white) on mutligrain toastSnack: Fruit Smoothie (organic plain fat free yogurt, a few sliced almonds, 1/4 of an orange, 1/2 of a banana, 1 kiwi) Lunch: 3 left over Shake N' Bake Chicken tenders from last nightSnack: Carrott/Apple juice that I juiced this morningI am still hungry though, as you can see lunch wasn't much because I didn't have time to get something to go with my chicken and I am still devising meal plans for healthy chicken dishes and snacks. I'll be going shopping this weekend. I have a good Chicken Strawberry Salad and Greek Chicken salad I want to try. Both with yummy homemade dressing.

A Kroger-branded mini-pizza with bacon, sausage and pepperoni. And three bottles of water. Will probably have some new Hamburger Helper for supper. Current complexion: Similar to the Kroger-branded mini-pizza minus the sausage and bacon.
munsoned 7 Share Posted February 18, 2009 processed stuff. I envy everyone who goes on these really strict diets for their acne/health problems. I dont have the willpower. :( you gotta work on it sugaraddiction..willpower may not just happen over night..but you take small steps moving forward and little by little its not even a matter of will power anymore...you end up enjoying the healthier lifestyle.. I know a chef who is also a natural bodybuilder..he likes to talk about all the ways you can transform your meals..turning foods you enjoy but are unhealthy into healthy foods..for example..do you like pizza?? well make a home made pizza on wholewheat crust, use cottage cheese for the cheese with sauce..add some garlic or whatever..its delicious!!! point I'm making is you can still enjoy food..diet is the wrong word..its just about making healthy choices..rather then a fattening hamburger on a white bun..a burger made with lean ground meat or ground turkey on a whole wheat bun..instead of white rice, brown rice..its simple little changes like this.. dont envy people who eat healthy..join them..be apart of it..forums like this are great to get support and inspiration to help you achieve your goals..and in return you can inspire others..it will be one of the best decisions you ever made in your life..every area of your life will improve. nothing feels more satisfying then overcoming and proving to yourself you can do something you felt you could not do...hope this helps a bit.:)

Things are absolutely delicious. They're the only kind of Girl Scout cookies I like, so my boyfriend ordered two boxes for me while I was at work one day. He told me that the girl said they'd come in around the eighth, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of either the girl or the cookies, so I'm hoping that he just misheard her and she actually said 'eighteenth' or 'twentyeighth'. (Sigh.) I'm missing out on delicious chocolate-caramel-coconutty goodness...
