I know there are already numerous threads about vinegar, but they've kind of died down, so...

I've been using vinegar on my face after washing, and sometimes periodically throughout the day, and it's working better than all of those topicals that I've been prescribed in the past like Benzaclin, Acnemycin, Differin...

In other words, it seems to make pimples heal faster or disappear quickly after appearance. I never got anything from topicals except dryness.

If anyone else is sick of trying topicals and feel like giving it a try...

Good luck!

2ShyGuy: if your only doing spot treatments, neat or 1:1 is ok, if your doing full face I would start with 2:1 or 3:1 (water:vinegar) then work your way up to a stronger concentration if need be.

Are you supposed to wash it off after applying it? Does it stink? Can I use it after I've washed my face with the Clean & Clear Continuous Control Cleanser with BP 10%? Perhaps it'll remove the BP? sad.gif

You're not supposed to wash off the vinegar, but the process is up to you. Technically, the C&C CCC posits the BP into your pores, so even after washing it with water, it won't be washed away. The vinegar won't wash it away either. In fact, it's supposed to complement other topicals.

Stinky is good. lol.

There's such thing as acnemycin??  Yeesh.

Never heard of that one either...

Aknemycin® Plus (Crookes)

Solution, tretinoin 0.025%, erythromycin 4% in an alcoholic basis

Probably the same thing, but generic name spelt with a k instead of a c.

^I knew it! Otherwise, they would've named erectile dysfunction drugs something like..."penisagra" or "flaccidophilus"
