Retinoid+exercise

Does anybody else's skin freak out when they work-out/sweat? Mine stings and turns red. After I wash it, it's tight and very sensitive, which isn't normal for me. Sunscreen is hell after, too. All I can think of is varying when I use Tazorac in relation to when I exercise. My current regimen, including Tazorac, is keeping me clear, so I don't much want to change it.

During my first 10 weeks of using Differin, my face would also burn like fire after I went for a run. The sweat and all the salt in the sweat, I think is what caused all the discomfort. But the past 2 weeks or so, my face is burning less and less. Hopefully all the burning will go away...?

I think I've been on this dose/formula for 4 months and then a lower dose for a few months before that, but I haven't been exercising. Maybe I just need to adjust to that part. I have a sweat band (dorky!) that I'm going to wear today to see if it helps. Actually, I was going to wear it anyway to keep the sweat/sunscreen/BHA/toner/moisturizer out of my eyes. They sting a bit.

usually I just shower and put on a moisturizer before I go to the gym and after wash up and put the retnoid on. also, showering before you exercise is a warm up for your muscles.

If I have time tomorrow, I'm going to splash off my face with cool water before working out to see if it helps. I'll keep you guys updated. (I can't do the shower thing, because I already take 2 showers per day, as is.)
