SUPER DRY SKIN HELP HELP IMMEDIATELY!!

Recommended Posts

Okay. Sorry for the dramatic title, but I want to go somewhere today and I can't right now because my chin is like a snowy mountain. It's so gross. White flakes and if I touch it, it just rubs off and...yuck. I've had moisturizer on it (like, so thick you can see the moisturizer) all day yesterday, and so far today. It's not really helping. It looks so bad I just can't go to school tomorrow if this persists. What works? I haven't put any medication on it for two days now. Only moisturizer.

Well, I have pretty dry skin and I use Dermalogica Intensive Moisture. At $50 for a tube it isn't cheap but it works great and lasts about 4-5 months.

I can't spend $50, because my skin isn't usually this dry. It's only been this week. It's usually very oily.

what worked for me: jojoba oil. I used 100%. I didn't see anything immediately, but the next day, my dryness was at least 85, 90% alleviated!

I had this problem a while ago, too. I would leave the house thinking I had it under control, and then a few hours later I would smile and flakes would appear everywhere around my mouth...

I managed to get it under control with jojoba oil (as other people have been mentioning). I also add some aloe vera gel to my moisturizer (I use Dan's) and find that this has helped a lot, too. I use "Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gelly." I found it in a health food store (the same place you'd find vitamins and other health foods.) Aloe vera is also really good for healing red marks and scars.

Another thing that helped was Dan's AHA+. I put it all over my face at night only (don't wanna over do it.)

Hope that helps. :)
