Teenage acne vs Adult acne

Recommended Posts

Is it possible that most acne is cause by increased insulin resistance in teens, but some of the severe cases that last into adulthood are caused by allergies? I have read insulin resistance is especially bad in teenagers and has something to do with growth.

i wouldn't say that adult acne is caused by food allergies per so. more so, it can still have the same triggers teenage acne has.

It can be allergies. But it can still be blood sugar issues from the crap diets most people eat/drink. You don't have to be insulin resistant to cause blood sugar spikes that can stimulate hormone production. We were never meant to consume sugar all day long like we do.
