Jinpossible 1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 "They are almost the same as closed comedones, except that the pore has a smaller opening, oxygen cannot get in, and bacteria continues to multiply often forming small whitish bumps under the skin. Same recommendations apply as above." So many people here refer to non-inflammatory pimples as whiteheads, which bothers me like crazy ({|=

Jinpossible 1 Author Share Posted April 12, 2004 No, they're not. A non-inflammatory pimple is like a 1-2 mm wide on the skin filled with white puss. Just like an inflamed people, but without the redness. A whitehead, on the other hand, is the same thing as a blackhead, except that it doesn't have the black tip and it lies deeper - what we refer to as under-surface acne. Joel 4 Share Posted April 12, 2004 How can you have a non-inflamed pimple if it's filled with pus? Isn't pus a result of inflammation?
