CHEMICAL PEELS

Hey guys i'm not sure if im posting in the right section, but here i am. Ive been on mynocicline for about 3 months. It's worked wonderfully for keeping my acne at bay, and stopping terrible breakouts. However i still have a billion red spots on my face which i cant get rid off. They don't get as enflamed as they used to, which is great. However they are still very visible. I was wondering what you guys think i should do about this. I've been using stievemacyn gel (retionoid) occasionally and it helps with acne, but only aggravates the red spots.

I was wondering if you guys think think that i should do a chemical peel. I hear a light chemical peel is great for sensitive fair skin like mine. The problem is i'm also worried about the cost. If i only needed one chemical peel, its 80 bucks which is fine. But i hear most people need at least 6 or 7 treatments to get rid of their red spots. I don't know if this is true or not.

I also hear that there are great over the counter products such as Finacea, which work very well for red spots. But i hear that they bleech the skin temporarily. I don't think i can handle that considering i am already ridiculously white.

I would strongly advise AGAINST a chemical peel. Chemical peels, just as their name states, use chemicals to peel off layers of skin. In using them to maintain clear skin, one would have to receive them on a routine basis, which would be paradoxal, since the repeated usage of chemical peels would destroy the condition of the skin and cause all sorts of inflammation, soreness, etc.

There are better ways to treat acne.
