Does your face eventually get used to BP?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I've been on the Regimen for a little over 4 weeks, and I'm experiencing some redness still but nothing to big. It's gone within the hour. However, I was just wondering if eventually it will get to the point where it doesn't get red upon application. It's getting pretty annoying having to get up two hours early to go somewhere, because it takes an hour to get showered, shave, and then apply the products. Then another hour to wait for the redness to go down. So does your face eventually get used to it?

Your face will get used to it, it just takes some time. Be sure to follow the regimen exactly and build up the amount of BP that you use every week. Everyone's skin is different, but eventually you should be able to put it on with little to no redness, flaking, etc. I have no problem with it now, just be sure to moisturize your face after you use it. Also, make sure you're not washing/scrubbing your face too hard. If your skin is irritated BEFORE you put on the BP, it's certainly going to be irritated AFTER you put it on as well. Try washing with cold water, don't use any harsh exfoliators (I mix baking soda with Dan's cleanser whenever I need to exfoliate, and I scrub only very very lightly), and pat your skin dry lightly. Another thing I use before applying BP every time is jojoba oil. It will protect your skin from excessive dryness, keep it from gtting excessively oily, and also help the BP penetrate your skin further. Basically it's good to add to any regimen, and it might help with your skins redness.

Hope some of this helps! Good luck!
