Accutane - 16 yrs old

Hi Everybody,

I had very bad acne about six months ago and then my doctor first put me on minoclycline, retin a micro, and duac. It was very bad, i tried my best to never be in pictures and go out with my friends. Honestly i forgot how to smile, I would try not to look in the mirror , even when i was shaving. My teachers and friends stared me and they would also say that " oh, it will get better" Even my extended family looked at me and just stared, it hurt me. Then finally, after waiting two months, because my dermatologist's schedule was full, he prescribed me with accutane. He put me on 40mg a day, and one month into it, my skin is looking better. Everybody i talked to, said that i will see big changes like two or three months into the treatment. Is that true?

Well thanks guys for your support and advice!

you will see a huge improvement. The hardest thing is being patient. Dont be discouraged if it takes longer then others. We thought his would never clear. He is 15 and was on it for eight months on 60 mg a day. He is 100 percent clear! Good luck an
