Hey again,

to answer your question plshelp, i sterilised a fine needle and prodded many times within the depressed scar area on my nose. If the scar is bound down, you can actually hear a faint snapping noise as you needle. Not much change happened for me except for a scar near the bridge of my nose, which became a little more shallow and smoother. There is a whole needling thread for a more in depth procedure description, and probably much better and high tech advice than mine!

With the TCA i used a 50% strength (as i was worried 100% may worsen the scar) and dipped a toothpick into the depressed scar area. It frosed white and then about a week or so later scabbed and came off. The scar was very slightly smoother, but still there.

From your picture, I would say that your nose still looks very inflamed, which may be causing the breakouts on your nose leading to scars. I think that the reducing the inflamation would greatly reduce the appearance of your scars. Maybe try steaming your face everyday to sweat out the pores more. Mud masks are also very good, I use them all the time to calm skin, it even makes scars less noticeable! Also, strangely enough, I find zinc cream really good for nose scars.

Best of luck with the treatments, i hope you find something that works well for you.

I've got a question here. I read a few threads on the instruction of dermarolling, but I hope someone could tell me the steps of dermarolling here. Like, what to apply before rolling, what apply after rolling, what to expect, how many times per week etc. I have got a 1.5 mm which I will use it on my nose only.

how do they look like? Well, my scars on the nose received lotta awful remarks. Beside that, all those holes always fill up with dirt and cause discomfort.

id say it only looks bad because of the redness..which makes it look like u extracted some stuff out of it

and if people are actually coming up to u and saying your nose looks awful then thats just mean

I'm not sure why you're nose may be inflamed, it would be a very good idea to see a dermatolgist about it as it is in such a specific area. It could be anything from rosacea to a bad reaction to a topical cream and anything inbetween! Good luck and please keep us informed with your progress.

hey, i've got a few small dents in my nose like that. one of them is dark and doesn't seem to lighten up with age.. ahah i've heard lemon juice or cucumber juice could help shrink the hole and make it less noticeable. have i been misinformed? :P

I will tell you that the skin of the nose is a bit different, and that's part of the reason why nose jobs are among the most difficult surgeries to perform well.

I was told that TCA Cross works well on scars in general, but not always so on the nose.

If you are considering treating them with TCA Cross, you should absolutely not do them yourself and should go to someone well-known for the procedure.

Just remember, however bad you think they look now, they could always look worse....

for furture reference should any1 find this post again.

you can also try collogen injections. these are good for atrophic (indented) scars. by injecting collogen at several places at the scar, it can lift to match the surrounding skin reducing the depression. it does last long most injections last for 3-6 months depending on the individual

I'd like to revive this thread.

Has anyone tried TCA cross on their nose for scarred pores? Or needling? Did it help to reduce the scar?

erm... mine alittle like yours but not so many and its more shallow , i have this indented hole on my nose for one month + due to picking blackhead on that particular area , the edges look shadowy when under the light .if the edges go back to normal size, it would be so less noticeable ... i wish i have not pick or even touch it ... this indented hole is way worse den a small blackhead...everyday is so depressing ...Will this scarred / enlarge pore heal completely ?? Yes , it has improved on the first few days , but only the hole has kinda scab and drop off but till now there isnt any improvement on it since then! Will this scarred pore ever heal ??6 month ? 1 year 2 year ? or will it be permanent ... ?

dont be depressed over a small hole...

BTW, to the topic starter, did you get your scars from cysts or were they regular pimples that you picked at?

also 13kid, did you pick at all the blackheads that left holes? What exactly did you do that caused these holes? You do realize that if you touch the blackhead, it doesnt cause it to scar right?

if i remember it correctly , the blackhead was pretty big at that time , i kept picking and scratching it , and finally , it did came off , but left a hole ( not as big as it is now ) , then the second day , it was filled with this disgusting whitish stuff , and stupidly , i decided to pick it , and when i picked it off , there was this bloody big hole in it , it was like seeing a horror movie by then ... i thought it would just heal after a week or so but now (1 month later ) its still the the same big indented hole ( i dont see much improvement on it ) Will time heal this indented hole or will it stay like this forever ?
