Could eating simply less help your acne?

Do you think that maybe if you just ate less calories overall it would help your acne? Instead of crazy diets getting rid of all sorts of food, I think if you had lower calorie diet that didn't add fat, that would help your acne.

yes it will. when you restrict calories your body heals, thats why fasting is popular.

Also sometimes people cut back on calories a whole lot to help regulate blood sugar?

It may depend on your metabolism. If you're eating 1500 calories a day and maintaining your weight at a level that satisfies you, I'd say go for it. If you're rapidly losing weight when you're not overweight, I wouldn't recommend it. Personally, I consume approximately 3300 a day and besides not being hungry and not losing weight, nothing was different than when I was eating 2000. The types of food (all healthy & low glycemic) were the same as well.
