How to chose a peel at a dermatologists?...

Recommended Posts

Is there any info on what type of "medical" peels work best on acne related scars, red marks, and uneven skin?

My doctor offers a "Vi Peel"only that costs $230+, but I wouldn't know if this works better than TCA, Glycolic or other types. I just don't want to waste money on a product and not see much results. For some reason I don't trust dermatologist advice on peels because they promote products of companies they work with, the same issue with laser treatments--they offer the lasers of companies they work with.

Your doctor or dermatologist should be able to help with the decision on what is best for you. Don't be tempted to go for the most powerful one available.

Have you tried a home peel? this thread has loads of information on doing them safely.

If you don't trust a dermatologist, doing it yourself would probably be best.
