Participants needed for research

Hi everyone,

We were contacted and asked if we would be willing to let a Clinical Psychologist Trainee recruit participants for a research project she is working on. She is not making any money off of this. If you'd like to participate, the information is below.

Hi all,

I am a trainee clinical psychologist currently completing a piece of

research looking at the beliefs that young adults with acne have about

their skin condition. By doing this research I hope to increase the health

services understanding of acne and in doing so, improve the quality of

support available to those who experience it.

I am looking for people to take part! If you are between 18 and 25 years

old and live in the UK, I would be really grateful if you could share you

experience of acne. This will involve meeting with me for about an hour to

take part in a relaxed interview. I am based in Bristol but I will travel

anywhere in the UK to meet with you. The interview will take place in a

safe, private setting (such as a local conference centre). This research

isn't funded which unfortunately means that I won't be able to pay you for

your time. However, I will reimburse any minor travel expenses such as the

cost of a bus or taxi ride to and from the arranged meeting place.

I can be contacted at [email protected] and on 07503227289 for

more information. It would be great to hear from you.

What a shame it's in the UK. I would have liked to participate! Although I don't have acne anymore, I know the feelings that accompany it. I went through severe depression when I did have acne, and my depression was not related to any oral or topical prescriptions since I wasn't on any at the time of my depression, so I feel like I'd be a good person to interview for your study. Too bad I'm in the US. :[
