Has anybody had any success diminishing their red marks with Bio Oil?

For reference, .

For uneven skin tone, it says to use it twice a day for a minimum of three months. A few years ago, I would have scoffed and said "THAT'S TOO LONG!" I've been clear for a while now, though, and my red spots have become less prominent (but still apparent) over time--so, I'm not in any hurry for a miracle fader. I'm willing to wait (besides, it absorbs quickly and I need a good moisturizer o.O).

Anybody here have any success using this stuff?

ADDENDUM: I guess I'll keep a semi-regular photo log of my progress. I'll upload a picture, soon. :)

I bought Bio-Oil because I'd seen the name in a few places and I thought I'd try it out. Truthfully, it doesn't do much besides moisturize. It's greasy so people with oily skin (like me..) should probably avoid it. It smells nice though and moisturizes alright but I saw nothing in improvement on my red marks, which was the main reason why I wanted Bio-Oil. None of my marks faded and I have quite a few, so it was pretty disappointing.

But then again..I didn't use it for three months, more like a month or so. So who knows?

Didn't work for me either. I applied it just like the directions told me to for 8 weeks and saw no improvement. All it is is a good moisturizer.

I've used bio oil for about a year. I'm not sure if it works or not (my red marks tend to fade pretty fast anyway), but bio oil might of helped them along.

Two days ago I went to a skin specialist who was completely AGAINST bio oil when I told her I used it (I was going through the skin care products I was using it). She said that acne-prone people should not use such products (that are oil-based or cream based, or any products with vitamin e in them in general) because it just makes you break out more = more pimples = more red marks. So since then, I've stopped using bio oil, mainly because I ran out and haven't gotten around to getting anymore, not because the skin specialist lady told me not to. She had a pretty messed up face herself anyway (not acne, plastic surgery gone wrong).

no success at all, it made me break out more because its an oil and it clogs pores. I wouldn't recommend at all. I still have mine if u want it!
