BRmass25 0 Share Posted July 30, 2008 Hi everyone. I have just been put on minocycline. AGE: 25 Sex: MaleACNE LOCATIONS/SEVERITY: Chest - Severe cystic. However, not widespread. about 6"x 6" area in center of chest. Quite painful.Face - Mild/Moderate pustular (but doing quite well on benzaclin 2x daily).Have used just about everything on acne short of 'tane and antibiotics. QUESTION:1. Does this stuff give an initial breakout? The benzaclin has really helped my face out and I would be rather frustrated if it was ravaged again.I guess that's my main question...any advice/suggestions? Critical_impact 0 Share Posted July 31, 2008 According to some people it does, but I was using BP at the time and I had minimal IB, as long as you dont miss taking it for more then like a day you should be fine.That's just what happened to me so other people might have broken out. phate 1 Share Posted August 1, 2008 Also, I would not suggest an antibiotic because too often they come back worse than before. My back came back very cystic about 30 of them.
