How do you prevent red marks from happening at all?

This thread IS about red marks, but it's not how to get rid of existing red marks, but rather how to prevent them altogether.

It seems like a blemish always leaves a red mark on my face once it's gone whether or not it was popped, and btw, I rarely pop and if I do it's the right way.

I tried applying Neosporin on a healing blemish but the red marks still appeared.

Has anyone used anything effective for preventing red marks from occurring?

The only thing that I know of that will prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (red marks, brown marks, etc.) is to prevent the acne that causes it. Sorry.

i noticed that the faster the inflammation goes down the faster the marks fade, which was why i wanted to do my own cortisone injections.
